TILT - Ordering from the menu and other good thoughts

I am listening to a recorded interview with Kristin Howe, the Go Big Now Coach, and she had a terrific analogy about placing the order for what we want with the universe.

Imagine you are at a restaurant, once you place your order you don't obsess on how the restaurant is going to make it, you just let them do their job.  The restaurant staff is your subconscious.

Once you place an order though, don't keep changing it.  If they started making your lobster and then you told them you would rather have chicken, it will take that much longer to get your order.

Darius, the interviewer, added a really great story about a POW in Russia who sustained himself by imagining driving a car down a boulevard in LA with a girl he met before the war, and he had an impulse to step out of line, he followed the impulse and walked out of the concentration camp, returned to LA meeting and marrying the woman he met before the war.  If he had tried to figure out how to do it, he most certainly would have been killed,

This analogy and story came in about 31 minutes into the recording.  I'll look for a way to insert the recording.

This aligns with Ed Mylett's speech at Wealth Bowl 2011, but how does it reconcile with using your goals as the compass that points to the North Pole?

Kristin finished up with an analogy about having a good idea and not acting on it right away.  She explains the Law of Secrecy as bottling up your energy is like shaking a bottle and keeping the cork in and letting that energy build.  Darius related a comment from Madonna that she always knew through high school that she was going to be successful even though she was like everybody else.
